ARTWORK STATEMENT

This piece considers the context and competing interests of labours in a family. The spaces are both specific and vague, highlighting the instability of memory carried in our bodies, objects, and photographs. Paint and wax accumulate; scrubbing and sanding make it clean. Something is done and undone and redone every day, and out of the apparent futility, there is a slow forming.
